Your studio page, address and QR code

Taras runs a dance school, and new people keep asking him the same things: where is it, what does it cost, how do I sign up. He wants one link for his Instagram bio and a QR code by the door that answer all of it. In Grupy that is the studio page, and he fills it in once.

Step by step

1. Open Set up → Details. Fill in what clients should know: Address and City (people look for a studio by city), Phone, Public email, Instagram, Website, Message link and About the studio. The Message link can be Telegram, WhatsApp or anywhere people can write to you; it becomes the Message button on your page.
2. Add pictures. Under Logo and Cover picture, tap Choose a picture. Without them, Grupy draws a cover in your class colours and a tile with your first letter. Tap Save.
3. See what clients see. Open the Studio tab. Under the cover and your name, clients get a button for each way to reach you that you filled in: Message, Call, Route (a map to your address), Instagram, Email and Website. Then come See the timetable, Passes and prices, Good to know (how you are paid, until when cancelling is free, and the studio’s time zone), What we teach and Who teaches here. You see Good to know on your own page too, to check what clients read; the way in and the prices are theirs. To check the rest with a client’s eyes, open Me and tap See this studio as a client; Back to my staff view brings you back.
4. Share it. On the Studio tab, tap Share on the cover. Share this studio shows your logo and name, a QR code any phone camera can read, and your address in words with Copy link. Print the code for the door, put the link in your Instagram bio. Clients have the same button, so they can pass your studio on too.
5. Write pages of your own. In Set up → Pages, tap New page and fill in Title, Address (what comes after /pages/ in the link), One line about it, The page and, if you like, Keywords and a Cover picture. House rules, what to bring, how to find the entrance — they appear on your studio page under Studio pages.
6. Choose whether you are in the directory. Set up → In the directory → Show in the directory. On, anybody looking for a studio in your country can find you. Off, your link, your page and every booking keep working.

Changing the name or address

• In Details, the Name and Web address are shown but not typed into. Tap Change the name or address, enter the new ones in Name and address and tap Change them. An address is letters, numbers and hyphens, and it has to be one no studio has ever had.
• Your present address keeps working and leads to the new one, so links you have sent and codes on the door are safe. The address before that stops working.
• The name and the address change at most once in seven days. Too soon, and the sheet says when you can: You can change these again on 12 Oct.
