One-off classes and events

Sofiia's studio is holding an aerial yoga workshop on a Saturday next month, with tickets for anybody who wants to come. The same week she adds an extra open class on a public holiday that her members' passes pay for. Neither belongs in the weekly timetable, so she adds both straight onto their dates.

  1. Have a class for it. A one-off class takes one of your classes, like any other slot. For a workshop, create one of its own first in Set up → Classes, with a name, colour, description and picture. See Class types.

  2. Open the Timetable tab. Under the day’s classes, owners have Add a one-off class. (In Set up → Timetable, the One-off events row leads here too.)

  3. Fill in the class. Choose the Class and the Trainer, then the Date and Starts at. Set Length in minutes (it starts at the class’s own Minutes), Places and, if you like, Fewest people it runs for.

  4. Decide how people get in.

    • Passes pay for it — on: a client’s pass pays for it, as for any class of that kind the pass covers.
    • Ticket price — with a price, somebody without a pass can buy their way into this one event. Leave it blank to sell no tickets.
    • With Passes pay for it switched off, a ticket is the only way in, so the event needs a price.

Both at once works too: members come on their pass, everybody else buys a ticket.

  5. Tap Save. It is on the timetable. The class shows on its date with an Event label, and clients book it like any other class.

  • With a pass that covers it, and Passes pay for it on, booking works just as for a weekly class.
  • Without one, the ticket is offered under the class’s name with Just this class, and is paid the way your studio takes money: by card, at the studio or by transfer. See Take payments.
  • A ticket is good for that one event and nothing else.
  • For a ticket-only event, somebody not yet signed in reads, for example, This is sold on its own. A ticket is UAH 500; you pay after signing in.
  • An event belongs to its date, not to a timetable. A draft does not copy it and publishing a new timetable does not touch it, so changing the weekly timetable never moves or cancels an event. See Build the timetable.
  • Weekly classes open for booking two weeks ahead; an event can be booked as soon as you add it.
  • To change an event before it starts, open it on the Timetable tab and tap Edit this event. Remove it, behind More, takes it off the timetable at once — an event is not in a draft. With people booked, the button says so, e.g. Cancel class and notify 3 people: they are told and every session goes back on its pass.
  • To cancel an event people have booked, open it and tap Call the class off. Everybody booked is told, and every session goes back on its pass. See Change the trainer or call a class off.
