Grupy on your phone

Oksana books her yoga on the way to work, one hand on the rail of the tram. Opening the browser and typing the studio's address every time is fiddly. So she puts Grupy on her home screen, next to her other apps, and gets to Thursday's class in one tap.

Step by step

  1. Open Grupy in your phone’s browser. Use your studio’s link, or go to grupy.fit and find your studio.
  2. Put it on your home screen. This is done in the browser, not in Grupy. On an iPhone in Safari, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen. In Chrome on Android, open the menu and choose Add to Home screen or Install app (the wording depends on the version). A Grupy icon appears, and Grupy opens full screen, without the browser’s address bar.
  3. Sign in if it asks. On some phones the home-screen icon keeps its own sign-in, so you may need to sign in once more.
  4. Find your way around. The tabs are at the bottom: Today, Timetable, Mine and Studio. Trainers and owners see their own tabs. The studio’s name at the top switches studios, and your picture or initials in the top-right corner open Me.
  5. Add your phone number. If your account has no phone number yet, Today shows Add your phone number. Tap Add the number, type it under Your phone and tap Save the number. The studio uses it to reach you and to find you at the desk. You can change it later in Me.
  6. Put a class in your calendar. On Today, the Next up card has Add to calendar for a group class. It downloads a calendar file: open it to add the class to your phone’s calendar.
  7. Get reminders on the phone. Connect Telegram or WhatsApp, if you see them in Me, and choose when you want to hear. See Reminders and where they arrive.

Good to know

  • Dark theme. Switch on Dark theme in Me for dark colours in the evening.
  • Inside Telegram. If you open Grupy inside Telegram as a mini app, it signs you in with your Telegram account, with nothing to type.
  • The internet is needed. Grupy loads your timetable and bookings live, so it needs a connection to work.
  • A computer works too. Everything on the phone is there on a bigger screen, where the tabs sit down the side instead.
