Cancel a booking

Dmytro has Tuesday's HIIT class booked, but on Monday evening his son comes down with a cold. His studio lets people cancel for free until twelve hours before a class. He opens Mine, taps the class and reads Cancelling now is free — so the session goes back on his pass, and somebody else can have the place.

Step by step

1. Find the booking. On Today, the Next up card has Cancel. In Mine, tap any class under Coming up. On the Timetable, open the class and tap Cancel my booking. Each row in Mine already says what cancelling would cost: Free to cancel for now, or Cancelling now spends the session with Late.

2. Read the answer first. The sheet tells you what happens if you cancel now:

   • Cancelling now is free — the session goes back on your pass, and the place is offered to somebody else. For a couple of minutes after you booked, this is what it says even inside the notice period: taking back a booking you have just made costs nothing.
   • Cancelling now spends the session — you are inside the studio’s notice period, so the session will not come back.

3. Decide. Keep my booking leaves everything as it was. Otherwise tap Cancel · session returned or, when it is late, Cancel anyway · lose 1 session.

4. Done. The sheet says what the studio did — Cancelled — session returned or Cancelled — and you get a message saying whether the session came back.

Good to know

• How many hours before a class cancelling stays free is up to each studio. The studio’s page shows it under Good to know → Cancelling, e.g. Free until 12 hours before, and every class shows Free to cancel until a date and time.
• Wherever you start — Today, Mine or the class on the Timetable — you see the same question before anything is cancelled.
• Booked the wrong class with one tap? Undo, at the bottom of the screen straight after booking, takes it back. For about two minutes after booking, cancelling is free anyway.
• A late cancellation still frees the place, so somebody on the waiting list can take it. In your history it shows as Cancelled late · session used.
• If the studio calls a class off, you always get the session back, and you get a message about it.

One-to-ones

A one-to-one is cancelled the same way, from Mine or from the Next up card. The buttons are Cancel the one-to-one, or Cancel anyway inside the notice period.

No pass is involved, so there is no session to return. If you have paid and cancel in time, the studio owes you the money back and settles it with you directly. If you cancel late, it is too late for the studio to fill the hour, so it may keep what you paid — or still ask for it. See Book a one-to-one.
